From an early age Tony found joy and empowerment through physical achievement. Whether it be playing soccer, competing in a race, or just becoming more physically capable, it has become his mission to share this feeling with others.

Through elementary, middle, and high school Tony competed in multiple sports and during his final years of high school began coaching youth soccer. It was this experience that awoke his passion for helping others progress and led him to study Kinesiology at WSU.

During his time at college, his health spiraled out of control. Without the motivation of team sport and the structure of home, the weight began to pile on. Finally, leaving college at 5’ 8”, 240lbs and a fat percent above 25%, he realized that the longer he continued to be obese the larger the threat to his health would become.

After graduating, his first attempt at weight loss was only temporarily successful. During the first year he lost 50lbs, but he gained it all back within the following 2 years. While working at a medical clinic as a certified personal trainer (through ACE) it finally became obvious that a permanent lifestyle change was necessary. Through an honest and scientific approach to wellness he was able to reign in his eating habits and make fitness/health a lifelong priority.

Through this honest approach he has been able to lose and keep off the 60lbs. He plans to expand his certifications to the “Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist” and continues to gain experience in a wide range of fitness arenas.
